Aravind Swamy is coming back to Bollywood after 14 years. Mahesh Manjrekar and Tisca Chopra headed to Bombay for the remake of Marathi hit, ‘Kaksparsh’. The movie is expected shot Guhagar in the Konkan region, where the original version was shot. The movie is based on the story by Usha Datar, the film is a love saga set in the 1930-1950s in Konkan. Tells the problems faced by a Brahmin family when their young, widowed daughter-in-law falls in love with her older brother-in-law.
The actor-director said, “I decided to remake the film because I wanted it to reach a national audience.” It will be made in Hindi and Tamil. “Kaksparsh has a Tamil cultural backdrop. That’s why I chose to remake the film in that language as well,” says the filmmaker.
