Bullet Raja releasing on 29th Nov 2013 is expected to stand successfully on box office. Bullet Raja is directed by Tigmanshu dhulia that is casted by Saif Ali Khan, Jimmy Sheirgill, Raj Babbar, Ravi Kishan, Vidyut Jamwal in the leading roles. Bullet Raja is basically a revenge drama that picturises on politics and gangwar. Though the story line is not a formulaic like most of the present potboilers but it is also not real rooted as Dhulia’s recent works are.
The director is known for including original story, commanding dialogues, powerful performances that are diluted with commercial considerations. This is not bad but Dhulia in his past movies has raised the bars so remarkably that Bullet Raja just doesn’t match up.
The romance track is also achieved conveniently and curiously but after that there is no elaboration on that front. You will get some light moments but more than Saif and Sonakshi chemistry, the bonding is much stronger with Jimmy Sheirgill. Moreover the friendship and romance goes only peripherally and the protagonist doesn’t felt much. Saif just caters to the script and does well in an author backed role. Beside Saif, Jimmy also has strong screen presence and he is not overshadowed by Saif.
Songs and stunts are used as substitutes for storytelling. Most twist and turns are foreseeable but the rapid pacing will keep you connected to the movie. Sometimes Dhulia gets into his favorite elements when it comes for the dialogues and political scenes. But that doesn’t make Bullet Raja painful although it has not came up to its predictability.
